In case you didn’t know advertising is a big business, here is a great graphic from Advertising Age along with some eye-popping numbers. AT&T spent $1.59 billion (that is a “b”) in measured media (which means that it spent a great deal more than that in marketing in forms not measured by this survey). Why, or why would anyone ever think that this money is spent in vain, that it has no or little influence of consequence?
